FAQ
What is CareCircle Collab?
An iPhone app for keeping care information in one private place on Apple iCloud — and sharing it with the people who help you care for someone you love.
Why should I trust this app with personal information?
Your care details stay on your devices and sync through Apple iCloud with the people you invite — not on a separate medical-records server we run. You choose who joins the circle. We don’t sell your care data or use it for advertising. The Privacy Policy has the full picture, including the tools we use to understand crashes and improve the app.
I only want to try this out. Is there a free option?
Yes. Free lets you care for one family member with the full app. Paid plans unlock collaboration and additional circles. See what’s included in the app under Profile → Subscription.
My family member has care providers. Do they see everything?
Only people you invite into the care circle can see shared information. You can give everyone different roles, so each person sees what they need. The contacts you save (for example—doctors, lawyers, and financial advisors) are just for your circle’s reference.
How do I tell a helper that they need to do something?
Create a task, assign it to them, and add a due date if you want — they get an alert on their phone, and the task shows up on their Tasks list. Each helper sets reminders on their own device.
How do I know tasks are getting done?
If you started the circle, you can see everyone’s tasks — what’s done and what’s overdue. You can also hand a task off to someone else in the circle. Every morning, you’ll get an alert on your phone with how many tasks are due and overdue, so follow-up is easier.
Can I upload pictures?
Yes. Notes can include photos from your library or taken with your camera — handy for prescriptions, wound care, paperwork, and appointment printouts.
The notes from the doctor’s appointment are too long for me to type. Can I record them instead?
Yes. You can add a voice memo to a note and play it back later. The app will auto-transcribe and save the text into the note so it’s easier to skim.
My family member experienced side effects from their medication. Is there an easy way to track the side effect and efforts to alleviate it?
Yes. With medications you can log side effects — how serious they felt and when they started — and jot down what you tried and how it went, so the whole circle isn’t relying on memory alone.
What else can I keep in a care circle?
- Tasks — with due dates, and you can assign them to helpers
- Medications — dosages, refills, and side effects
- Providers — contact details for the people involved in their care
- Notes — typed notes, photos, and voice memos
Do I need an iPhone?
CareCircle Collab is currently an iPhone-only app. Sharing uses each person’s Apple ID. All data is stored in the iCloud account of the person who started the circle.
Someone invited me — how do I join?
Install the app, then open the invitation link from the email on your iPhone. Step-by-step help is on Support.
Is this for medical emergencies?
No. CareCircle Collab helps you coordinate care day to day. For emergencies, call your local emergency number.
